Passwords: Reset a User's Password
There are three ways to reset user passwords with CrowdFiber:
- Manually send the user a Password Reset email
- Have the user automate a Password Reset email to themselves
- Have an Admin manually create a new password for the user
Option 1) Manually send the user a Password Reset email
- Click the Users link located in the left-hand rail of your Admin Dashboard
- On the following Users Page, use the filters at the top of the page to locate the user who requires a password reset.
- From the Users index located below the Filter section of the page, locate in the row containing the user who would like to reset their password.
- Click the Actions button located in the far right-hand column of the User index.

Select Reset Password from the Actions button drop-down menu.

The user will immediately be sent the Password Reset email below, branded with your organization's logo. After clicking the link in this email they will be able to reset their password and log into their dashboard.

Option 2) Have the user send themselves a Password Reset email

Instruct your user on how to visit your sign-in page and instruct them to click the Forgot Password link.

On the following page have the user/customer enter the email address they used to create their account into the Enter your email address text box, then click Send Password Reset Link

The user will immediately be sent the Password Reset email below, branded with your organization's logo. After clicking the link in this email they will be able to reset their password and log into their dashboard.
Option 3) Have a Site Admin manually create a new password for your user
With your customer’s permission, a user with Site Admin permissions can manually reset a user/customer password on behalf of the user/customer. Here’s how:
- Click the Users link located in the left-hand rail of your Admin Dashboard
- On the following Users Page, use the filters at the top of the page to locate the user who requires a password reset.
- From the Users index located below the Filter section of the page, locate in the row containing the user who would like to reset their password.
- Click the Actions button located in the far right-hand column of the User index.

Select Edit from the Actions drop-down menu.

On the following Users page, create a new password for the user.

Click the blue Save User button located in the bottom left-hand corner of the page to complete the password reset.
Option 4) Have the user send themselves a Magic Link
While this option does not involve a password reset, it is the quickest way for a user to access their account.

Instruct your user on how to visit your sign-in page and instruct them to click the Get a Magic Link button.

On the following page have the user/customer enter the email address they used to create their account into the Enter your email address text box, then click the Send Magic Link button

The user will immediately be sent the Password Reset email below, branded with your organization's logo. After clicking the link in this email they will be immediately logged into their account.
