Why Are Non-serviceable Addresses Showing on the Address Index?

CrowdFiber supports a variety of Address Types: Service, Mailing, Billing, Shipping, and more! When you are on the Admin/Addresses page, the table you are viewing includes all addresses of all types.

If you would prefer not to see the P.O. Boxes, you can click on the Filter for Is P.O. Box and set it to No. All P.O. Box addresses will disappear from that view. As noted above, it doesn't hurt anything for those P.O. Boxes to be in your database. There's a lot you can do with them if you have a need.

Only Service Addresses will show up on the address search - we do not allow an end-user to back your campaign with a P.O. Box as their Service Address. However, we collect, store, and allow you to manage lots of address data that are not for Service Addresses.

Why? Let's say you are doing a Direct Mail, sending postcards or letters through CrowdFiber. There, you can use the relationships between Contacts and Addresses in the system. When we fetch parcel and address data from the county's GIS records, we collect a tremendous amount of data, including Service Addresses in an area and the Parcel owner's information.

You might have a contact with a Service Address of 123 Main Street, but a Mailing Address of P.O. Box 987. We would allow you to send postal mail to either of those (assuming that they are both deliverable).

Only Service Addresses will count towards address counts for Zones. Other address types are excluded to ensure there are not more serviceable locations counted in an area than actually exist.
