Importing GIS Files into CrowdFiber
- Imported GIS files become your CrowdFiber zones/service areas.
- This step will import your polygons into CrowdFiber and prep your GIS files to transition into cf zone records.
How to Upload Your GIS File
- Select the Zones link located in the left-hand rail of your Admin Dashboard.

- On the following Zones page, click the Bulk Actions button located above the upper right-hand corner of your Zones Index (the Zones Index is located below the filter section of your Zones page; it is the table that displays a list of all of the zones you’ve created in CrowdFiber).
Part 1) Access the GIS File Importer
- Select Import CSV or Import Shapefile/KML from the Bulk Actions drop-down menu.
You will also be able to upload KMZ files using this option.

- On the following Imported Geographic Files page, click the Upload New File button located above the upper right-hand corner.

Part 2) Upload Your GIS File
- On the following page, click the Choose File button and select the file you've prepared for upload.
- The Notes textbox is not required.
- Notes will make it easy for you to identify your imported files in the future.
- Best practices for Notes are to include a date along with a project name and/or purpose.
- Click the blue Upload File button to start your import.

- Immediately proceed to Step 4 Create Your Zone Records.
