Configure Payment Settings
How to Configure Payments
- Click the Settings link located in the left-hand rail of your Admin Dashboard.
- Click the Payments link located in the Settings drop-down menu.

Part 1) Activate The Payment Interface
- Check the Enable Pay by Credit Card Checkbox to display a credit card payment interface on the Success Panel of your Registration processes.

- If you would like to allow your registrants to make a payment by check, check the Enable Pay by Check Checkbox.

- Add payment instructions (Enable Pay by Check Only)
- If The Enable Pay by Check Checkbox is checked add a mailing address for the check in the Instructions Textbox.

Part 2) Payments Mode
- This setting toggles your user experience between testing payments and processing live payments.
- Test
- For use during your site's construction while you are testing your registration processes.
- Credit card payments are not processed. Only test credit card numbers are accepted.
- Live
- For processing live payments.
- Credit card payments are processed. Only valid credit card numbers are accepted.
- Test
Part 3) Set Default Payment Amount
- Set the default amount to be charged across all of your service areas.
- Example: $100 deposit = 10000 (no symbols necessary).
- You can establish a unique payment amount for a specific zone and override your default payment amount in a zone record.

Part 4) Establish the Payment Description
- Text entered into the Description to Include on Charge textbox will define the name seen next to the charge on your customer's credit card statement.

The best practice is to use the same text that is seen next to credit card charges processed by your billing system.
Selecting a clear billing descriptor is important for a merchant to avoid a chargeback when the customer does not recognize the name on the transaction. Many service providers use "Internet Deposit" or "Registration Fee" to separate this charge from one that might accompany other services the customer purchases from the company.
Part 5) Save Your Payment Settings
- Click the blue Update Settings button located in the bottom of the left-hand corner of the page to save and apply your settings.
